Give the Gift of Expert Laser Hair Removal
- Posted on: Dec 15 2018
People can waste so much money on gifts that the recipient either doesn’t really want or will never really use. Let’s put an end to this, and vow to give something they’ll really appreciate…not to mention make use of.
Give them an end to the endless tedious ritual of getting rid of unwanted hair. Give them a smooth hair-free area of their body that they’re always struggling to remove hair from. Give them a laser hair session at Romeo & Juliette Laser Hair Removal.
End the madness
There isn’t a soul out there who enjoys getting rid of unwanted hair. This goes for women and men. Of course, women tire of continually managing their bikini line or hair above their upper lip, and men hate back hair and their unibrow! But there are endless places where most of us would like to no longer have hair. And shaving, plucking, waxing, applying harsh depilatory creams — it’s all a pain in the you know where. Plus, just when the hair is gone, two weeks later it’s right back again.
How do lasers get rid of hair?
Some people think lasers actually vaporize the hair in laser hair removal. That’s not the case. First off, that could be dangerous and possibly burn the skin. Second, it wouldn’t get rid of the hair. The vaporized shaft would simply grow back.
That’s because you have to deal with the hair follicle. That’s what laser hair removal actually does. When we target one of our 12 (you read that right, 12!) lasers, we set the wavelength of the laser energy to match the color of your hair. We then deliver very short duration pulses of laser energy down onto the hair. The light energy is absorbed by the melanin in the hair shaft and it converts to heat energy. This heat travels down the hair shaft into the follicle where the hair is anchored. The heat damages or destroys the follicle, precluding it from growing hair in the future.
There are many places that say they perform laser hair removal. Some do it as a sideline to tanning or a nail business. They may have one laser, usually with older technology that can actually burn the skin if not operated correctly.
Laser hair removal is all we do at Romeo & Juliette. That focus makes a big difference, both in our experience and in our commitment to technology. The reason we have 12 different lasers isn’t that we’re sci-fi freaks; it’s because having all of those different lasers allows us more flexibility in treating patients with different skin tones and different hair types and colors. It’s relatively easy to remove thick black hair on a very fair-skinned patient. Removing blond hair on someone with a darker complexion calls for more options in the laser selection and setting the wavelengths.
That’s why there isn’t another laser hair removal specialist like Romeo & Juliette Laser Hair Removal.
