Give the Gift of Hair-Free Skin

As we’ve moved into winter in this oddest of all years, we’ve moved indoors along with the season. That means we’re covering up areas we’d normally be worrying about shaving or using other means to get rid of the unwanted hair.

Unfortunately, that doesn’t make the hair go away. And that strategy doesn’t work so well on those unwanted hairs on the sideburn area or above the upper lip. After all, we won’t be wearing masks forever!

That’s where we come in. We’re the city’s king of laser hair removal, Romeo & Juliette. With 12, count ‘em, 12 different lasers at our disposal, we can match the perfect laser to your skin tone, hair type, and area you seek to remove the hair.

How does it work?

Some people assume laser hair removal is like a Star Wars movie. They think the laser energy simply vaporizes the hair like the Death Star does to unwanted planets. Not so. If that’s how it was done, it would be difficult not to harm the surrounding skin. Plus, you’d only get rid of the outer hair shaft, leaving the remainder of the shaft anchored in the follicle and capable of growing new hair.

The key to removing hair permanently lies in the hair follicle. Destroy the follicle, stop the hair growth.

Here’s how we do it. We set the laser we’ve selected to match the color of the melanin in your unwanted hair. Then we direct short pulses of laser light energy down onto those unwanted hairs. The melanin in the hair shafts absorbs the light energy, which instantly converts to heat. This heat then travels down the hair shaft into the hair follicle where it damages or destroys the follicle. Voila, no more hair!

It takes a few tries

The reason we can’t remove all the unwanted hair in one shot is that there are over 5 million of the little buggers on the average human, and each hair operates independently of the other 4,999,999 hairs, entering the different phases of the hair growth cycle at different times. Laser hair removal only works when a hair is in the growth phase and is actively anchored into the follicle. During the transition and resting phases, laser energy has no effect on the unwanted hair because the shafts are already being shed out of the follicles. So, it takes a series of laser hair removal sessions to catch more and more of your unwanted hairs in the growth phase.

The perfect gift

So, we all have lots of places we’d like to get rid of some hair. For gals, it’s the bikini line, the sideburns, upper lip, chin, underarms, and legs. Because of that commonality, what better gift for a friend than a gift certificate for laser hair removal at Romeo & Juliette Laser Hair Removal? We offer various amounts, and this is the one gift your friends will actually treasure and enjoy. Can you say that for the stinky bath soaps or the scarf?
